What I like about Theresa Kohlhoff and why I think she is going to be a refreshing mayor is her ability to work with others to achieve smart financial policy for the right reasons as well as stand her ground to do the right thing.
Two examples: Kohlhoff carried through on her 2016 campaign promise to support building a pool. She was on the city/school district task force and consistently voted to keep a pool on the front burner. Now, both a community and a competitive pool in partnership with the school district are on track. She listened to the neighbors and golfers and tried to steer the location away from the golf course but agreed when it appeared to be the only cost-effective location.
She championed annexations on an area-wide basis because of the obvious financial efficiencies and was consistent in her opposition to a "cherry stem" annexations (an annexation to a lot not adjoining existing infrastructure) because it comes at a greater city cost.
Theresa Kohlhoff is principled but pragmatic. She always acts in the best interest of the city, not just her own. Please join me and my husband in voting for Theresa Kohlhoff for Mayor.
